Following last weeks shout out to Canadians, today we celebrate post the July 4th Fireworks, two LA teams and the Drillers from Tulsa.
Major League Stars of the Week:
Antonio Morici SVP TS/Premium LA Dodgers (being regional)
With Americas largest Korean populations, the Dodger at select concessions stock one of Koreas highest selling domestic beers. In addition, this past Saturday vs the Shohei’s Ohtani LA Angels the Dodgers celebrated Japanese Heritage night and it resulted in MLB’s biggest gate this season.
Brendan Boyle: SVP TS LAFC (celebrate July 4th Huge)
Although they hit above capacity every game (minus below 19k for one date in April), with LA Galaxy on July 4th they told the market this game is big and move the game to the Rose Bowl. Result: 82,110 fans showed up.
Minor League Star of the Week: Mike Melega: Pres/GM and Jennifer Carthel: Director of Corporate Sales Tulsa Drillers (Regional and July 4th)
To celebrate Tulsa history of Blue’s and love of fishing, the Drillers dress as the Blue’s for a weekend series and the Noodlers for another. A Blue’s artiest performs the anthem and live Noodling takes place on the concourse.
July 4th, they did twice: The result: Wednesday July 5th attendance smashed the Thursday and exceeded the strong Saturday gate that followed.
