Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #35
The MLB home field disadvantage continued at a World Series which featured 2 teams who had the benefit of not playing at home in a playoff which saw the home side lose 26 of 41 games. The Diamond Backs by losing all three World Series dates in Arizona, crowned Texas who was a perfect 11-0 as a road playoff team.
Fortunately for ticket sales departments who benefit from the excitement of the home team winning, in the first month of the NBA (+11), NHL (+10), AHL (+5) and ECHL’s (+12) the home team (when they know the schedule in advance) has a winning percentage in all the leagues.
