Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #94
(Make the last regular season home dates special on their own)

Whether you’re a playoff team or not, chances are the last home game is meaningless which often results in the Stars not dressing. GSW vs the Clippers to determine the last NBA playoff team and the Canadiens needing a win to ensure a playoff spot are outliers. The balance of NHL games played on April 16th and 17th if Montreal wins (13 games) are meaningless.

The Stars below put such an effort into highlighting the seasons last home games that Season Ticket holders and fans last memory is a positive one.

Major League Star-
Frank Batres-Landaeta VP of Revenue @ the Buffalo Sabres.
By running an engaged Fan Appreciation Night that includes fans selecting a favorite Bobblehead upon entry, the meaningless last game is ’25’s biggest secondary market entry price vs the worst team in the Eastern Conference.

Minor League Star-
Erik Eisenberg VP of Ticket Sales Las Vegas Aviators
By combining Fireworks, Jersey’s off their back and unloading Giveaways, sponsors gifts and perishable merchandise, Fan Appreciation weekend in ’24 had 2 of the 3 biggest gates of the year for the Aviators.
