Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #118
(Drive way to Drive way is what the fan experiences)
If Covid taught us anything is that some people prefer to work from home in part due to the variables that a downtown office shares with a sport venue. Travel costs, traffic, parking and the cost of eating out are shared deterrents.
That said, frigid temperatures, transit maintenance and stadium renovations (increases every line for the fan) is why secondary tickets prices have dropped for the Leafs. To support the great job Tom McDonald SVP of TS at MLSE and his team do selling primary tickets, ignoring the negative impact to the pregame secondary value these variables create is short sighted.
To prevent converting committed Season ticket holders into last minute tickets buyer, recognize value back to members post game when these variables similar to how #NBATicketing visiting stars taking “load management” day diminish’s the members pregame ticket value below his cost is my advice.
