Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #113- Special Blue Jays report
(How the playoffs maximize revenue, capacity and support Season members)

The days of playoff only brokers, fans becoming playoff brokers and BOTS flipping playoffs tickets should be over. Although the model might surprise people, it’s great for the best fans and it’s the way it should be.

To reward season members, the Blue Jays charge 2x the members price for limited available tickets at the Box office, many of which can be transferred but not posted for sale. With the remaining inventory, teams have a ticket partner help ensure the Jays maximize revenue and capacity thru the secondary market.

The model increases the teams take of ticket revenue which allows the Jays to stay competitive vs a falling Cdn dollars in a league with rising US $ salaries.

The model also supports the Blue Jays most important partner (season ticket holders) who are rewarded with discounted playoff tickets they can use or sell.

Key variables for which Toronto and the Jays are fortunate to have:
An All Star owner willing to spend in Edward Rogers, a Sr Director of Ticketing John Santana who knows what he’s doing and hashtag#MLB sending them the Yankees and Dodgers in the playoffs on the weekend.
