Ticket Sales Tip of the Week and the Stars behind them week #15
Securing a group of 30 for my better half last week to an away MLB game, highlighted how flexibility and benefits to counter the attraction of the secondary market should always be top of mind. Our experience regardless of dealing with a terrific rep, was the opposite. Paid 35% above market for a pair (we had 30), invoice couldn’t be divided between multiple buyers, distributing tickets was a hassle and the full price concession add on expired on the date if not spent. The rainout policy prevented the booking from being made until the day before which cost the order 12 tickets.
Major League Star – Francis Traisman: SVP Ticketing Seattle Mariners
The Mariners double the group savings at 40 tickets to counter secondary market pricing and allow Season Ticket holders to transfer the spend to anywhere in the stadium and exchange 24 hours before any game.
Minor League Star- Dan Rajkowski: COO Charlotte Knights
The Knights allow any season ticket holder to transfer the spend into any other ticket sales product in the venue. Club tickets, a suite rental or exchanging seats to host a group outing are all options.
