Ticket Sales Tips and the Stars behind them- Week #40
(Ticket Demand: DOW trumps Opponent 80% of the time.)

Visiting Rob Fasoldt thanks to Patrick Ryan while gathering insight for MSG’s David Hopkinson ticket sales report during the Pandemic, I learned the St Louis Cardinals ticket sales radius was 50 miles midweek and 600 miles on the weekends. Yes, the Cardinals case is extreme. That said, traffic, work commitments, family/kids schedules and bedtimes are less flexible midweek.

Today’s two stars built one off and season programs to turn midweek kill dates in the schedule into the place to be.

Major League Stars- Anuk Karunaratne SVP and John Santana Sr D TS Toronto Blue Jays.

In addition to the Tuesday Loonie Hot Dog night beating every non promo Friday night, the biggest gate of the year was a midweek matinee July 20th date (my son Cooper Kelly birthday) where they opened up empty suites as business class tickets.

Minor League Stars- Dan Mason GM and Eric Friedmann D TS- Rochester Red Wings.

The Red Wings by incenting Season Members ticket to exchange for Wednesday’s, they’ve rescued the quietest game of the week which many in past years has been the second biggest gate of the homestand.
