Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #79
Added schedule dates (including early playoff) are less attractive.
The attendance last week at the NBA cup exposed that adding new dates previously not in the fan or corporate buyers schedule are less desirable.
Ex: The Wizards sold 4k fewer seats then the previous Celtic game, the only Lakers non sold out game had 3900 empty seats last night and the Magic’s smallest gate all year was a Knicks weekend date.
In the Playoffs where often the opponent, day of the week, unexpected game, and start time can be unpredictable, if this isn’t reflected in membership pricing, the excitement of playoffs can turn into a reason for members not to renew if the secondary tells they were price gouged.
