Ticket Sales Tip of the Week- #80
(Play as many home games as you can over the holidays)

In the same manner that Saturday home dates are preferred to Monday,(Milb stopped playing on Monday’s), the holiday dates are like Saturday’s on steroids. Case in point, regardless of NFL games, the NBA set year to date ticket revenue highs in 4 or 5 markets that played Christmas Day.
On the flip side, the NHL (which relies heavily on ticket revenue) is also skipped Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing day regardless of pretty much selling out every building in ’23-24 over the December/January break. The negative highlight, the 7 Canadian teams (facing a sinking dollar) are playing a total 9 home games between Dec.24 and Saturday Jan. 4th.

Major Leagues Star- James Van Stone and Bill Hanni Washington Wizards
Securing four home dates between after Christmas to New Year Day is season ticket holder friendly.

Minor League Star- Marc Lira Toronto Marlies.
Between the NHL, AHL and ECHL, the Marlies are the only team hosting a hockey game between Christmas Eve to after boxing day. Based on it being last years biggest gate of the season, it works for their fans.
