Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #86
(Treat your season ticket holders like partners)
The relationship between teams and season ticket holders isn’t a two way street. Teams don’t exist without season ticket holders and it’s not visa versa.
When variables diminish the value of a ticket (bad record, poor weather, stars not playing, midweek games, early season dates and unexpected playoff start times) the secondary ticket market broadcasts it.
Early round playoff dates being presented as premium if often false. The midweek afternoon Wildcard MLB baseball game and the unexpected round 1 or 2 series home date, lack a runway to sell or find clients to commit which crushes their value.
When the secondary highlights your best customers have overpaid be proactive and show appreciation while they’re still with you.
