Ticket Sales Tip of the Week #96
(Ticket Departments should be thrilled to have April behind us)

In basketball and hockey, 75% of the April regular season games are meaningless due to eliminated and playoff teams sitting stars, while in baseball and soccer, it’s not just early season but it’s often 40 degrees outside.

The second half of the month does feature the playoffs but to be frank, without a runway to sell group tickets, the Minor Leagues smallest gates are playoffs and when the NHL schedule is released 48 hours before game 1, the host teams loyal members value gets crushed by the discounted secondary market.

In Sports, with better weather and more important playoff games, May and June are both welcome calendar turns.
